The best things come in… fours?

Sailing a little close to confirmation bias, this lovely description of the four voices of collective impact caught our eye. Confirmation bias you say? Well, we were extra careful with this one because it was developed by a US organisation called Cocreative Consulting and the subject matter is impact. Why is that relevant? Just because the old name of The Curiosity Society was Cocreate Cooperative, whose specialism happened to be impact. Spooky. It is still a lovely reminder of different ways of knowing about impact, or indeed many other things. Maybe you’ll be the judge of that.

We use this kind of framework for other things too: like figuring out who should be in the room when we’re working with clients on tricky questions; or the kind of methods we choose when facing a particular type of challenge; or the kinds of gifts we love people to bring to our own team when we’re recruiting; or…(fill in your own potential use cases).

Which voices in your organisation are the loudest or the most often heard? What does that say about who you are as an organisation, your culture, your ability to engage with other organisations with a different voice?
